What is the KITAS direct?

With the KITAS Direct, the mandatory KITAS sensor checks during calibration becomes very easy:

• Wireless connection to the WorkshopTab
• Direct reading out of KITAS serial number
• Functional test of KITAS (impulse test) possible
• KITAS version can be checked, for example if it’s a KITAS 2, 2+, 4
• KITAS is directly supplied with internal battery (2 x 9V)

How does it work?

The KITAS direct uses a wireless bluetooth connection. Make sure it is linked with the WorkshopTab. A KITAS symbol is visible at the bottom of the screen.

Disconnect the original KITAS cable from the KITAS sensor and attach the KITAS to the vehicle's KITAS sensor.

In the 'Sensor Check' step (reading out the serial number), choose to read out 'With KITAS Direct cable'.
