What is the Blue Meter?

Part number - A2C5951351466

The BlueMeter is used to determine the W-Value (Road impulse value) on a 20 meter track. If the TyreMeter Pro is also used, the L-Value (tyre circumference) is determined simultaneously.

How does the Blue Meter work?

After the test has started on the WorkshopTab, the vehicle is driven past the first reflector post, after which the measurement is started. When passing the second reflector post, the measurement is stopped, after which the W-value (and possibly also the L-value) is determined.

Reflector posts must be neatly attached perpendicular to the road. If your own reflector posts are used, the posts must be fitted with polarized reflector strips. The center distance between the two reflector strips must be entered in the WorkshopTab.

When placing the reflector posts, make sure that there are no reflections and that no sunlight shines directly on the sensor or strips, as this can affect the operation/detection. If you want to work in the shade, if positioned next to a wall or wall, make sure that any GNSS tests will properly detect satellite transmission at that location.
